'American Idol': Katharine McPhee, OneRepublic to Perform on Results Show (Exclusive)

Thursday night's American Idol results show is sure to be a, ahem, smash as season five runner-up Katharine McPhee returns to the Fox show for a special performance with OneRepublic.

McPhee will lend guest vocals to the group's latest single, "If I Lose Myself," which appears on OneRepublic's new album, Native (out March 26).

It's McPhee's second collaboration with the band's frontman Ryan Tedder. The two shared screen time last season on an episode of NBC's Smash, which featured the song "Touch Me," written specifically for the series star and Idol alum.

In fact, Tedder is becoming somewhat of an Idol MVP, having penned and produced songs for Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Adam Lambert, Jennifer Hudson and Jordin Sparks.

The band's Idol appearance is one of three major TV bookings the week of release. Among them: Good Morning America on Tuesday and Rachael Ray on Friday.

Also appearing on Thursday night's Idol is season 11 favorite Colton Dixon, who told The Hollywood Reporter last week that he wants to shake Keith Urban's hand when he returns. "It's coming up so fast," Dixon said.

Indeed, tune in March 28 for all the musical action.

'Psych's' 100th Episode: Shawn and Gus Investigate a 'Clue' Mystery (Exclusive Video)

Psych is gearing up for its 100th episode.

In "100 Clues," inspired by the 1985 film Clue, Shawn (James Roday) and Gus (Dule Hill) are invited to a mysterious party at a historic Santa Barbara mansion by Billy Lipps, a rock star whom Shawn and the Santa Barbara Police Department sent to prison five years earlier for murder. When a deadly crime is committed, five suspects emerge: the Butler, the Groupie, the Manager, the Author and the Host.

The Hollywood Reporter debuts a scene from Wednesday's hour, wherein Shawn and Gus, with the help of SBPD's Lassiter (Timothy Omundson) and Juliet (Maggie Lawson), investigate a dead body in Billy Lipps' abode. "Great Scott!" original Clue castmember Christopher Lloyd exclaims. Lesley Ann Warren and Martin Mull co-star, along with Tears For Fears’ Curt Smith and Garrett Morris.
